The far-out sequel to the mega-popular One Night Ultimate Werewolf. This time, the app is the star with dynamic roles and narration!

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Social Stretch goals & Tuesday Night Commentary
over 7 years ago – Sun, Sep 25, 2016 at 12:16:15 AM

Thanks to a suggestion by our backers in the very very busy comments section of this project, we’ve added three new Social Media stretch goals! And we’ve made them very, very obtainable in the next three days while the campaign is still running:

We recorded 10 games of One Night Ultimate Alien with the cast from the gameplay movies, and if we reach this stretch goal before the campaign ends, we’ll post a semi-rough cut of ANOTHER one! These do take some time to edit and clean up, or we’d simply post them all.

@beziergames currently has 7,645 followers at the time of this update, so we only need 355 more followers (if just 1 out of every 10 backers followed us on Twitter, we’d pretty much be there!) to get to this stretch goal.

We recorded a whole lot of additional interview footage with the cast of the videos, including what they think of their fellow castmembers! We’ll post a big chunk of this online for you to view.

Bezier Games on Facebook currently has 2,645 Likes (okay, it’s a little weird that the last 3 digits are the same as the Twitter follower numbers, I see that now), so we only need 355 more followers (again, just about 1 out of 10 backers to like us on Facebook).

Yet another semi-rough cut gameplay video for you to view.

@beziergames on Instagram currently has 981 followers. We only are looking for 1200 followers, so that’s only 219 more followers to get us to 1200. This one should be really easy!

What are you doing Tuesday night, around 10pm ET/8pm PT?

Join the comments section for the project starting at 8pm, as the activity gets super frantic, and there will be all sorts of fun things happening in the last hour of the campaign, including some super fun contests for all participants, and we’ll answer as many questions as we can about the upcoming Ultimate Werewolf Legacy game by Ted Alspach (Ultimate Werewolf) and Rob Daviau (Pandemic Legacy). The comments section has been buzzing all through the campaign with feedback from excited backers, including a really rich “roles we’d like to see in the future” thread, so if you haven’t joined in the conversation, that would be a great time to do it!

Fear the Sky for 4 more days
over 7 years ago – Sat, Sep 24, 2016 at 02:40:50 PM

There are only four days left in the One Night Ultimate Alien kickstarter, and the momentum has been building (the Leader stretch goal has been reached, and we almost have reached the 11/12 player goal too!)..a big thanks to all of you who have reached out already. But please continue to do so!

Did you know that a tweet has a life of only about 20 minutes? Which means that there's a really small window for your followers to see anything you post on Twitter. Instagram is a little longer, and Facebook is even longer, but despite the fact that once you post something it could live forever on the internet, *hardly anyone actually sees it" - which brings me to my point - please continue to post about this campaign over the next few days to make the rest of the world aware of the game and these great rewards! Here's a fun weekend tweet/post that you can copy and paste:

Save the planet in One Night Ultimate Alien—an amazingly fun social deduction game—on Kickstarter a few more days! http://tiny.cc/ONUA

And don't stop at social media. Make new friends by stopping people in the street to tell them about the awesomeness of the campaign. Call a meeting at work (probably best to leave your boss out of it...you can meet with him privately) just to tell everyone in attendance how great ONUA will be if they back it. Learn how to skywrite this weekend and practice by posting messages in the clouds about this KS project. If your pastor at church asks for an "Amen!" shout "Alien!" instead and then explain yourself to the congregation. Bring a sign to a political rally calling for unification...against the coming alien threat, which can only be defeated if we as a society practice identifying who might be an alien already living among us..using this game as a tool to save the planet. There's really no limit if you're truly committed (and you might be if you take this paragraph too seriously).

A huge thanks to all of you who have helped out with promoting the campaign so far, and to each and every one of you for backing in the first place...I'm sure you're going to absolutely love this iteration of One Night!

Fun Alien Fiction

During the development of One Night Ultimate Alien, I listened to the three-part "Fear" trilogy by Stephen Moss on Audible, starting with Fear the Sky. If you like sciency science fiction, check it out in book or audio form (in this case, the audiobook is really well done, and each book is about 20 hours, great for driving).

Brief synopsis: in Fear the Sky, an Alien civilization is on the way to conquer us, but they've sent an advance team to undermine our nuclear capabilities prior to their giant armada arriving (so we don't blow up the planet making it worthless to them). Highly recommended!

This isn't a KS project, it's just a really good book series!

Save the Orphans...or don't

Not recommended by the project creators themselves is the Kickstarter Endangered Orphans of Condyle Cove...take a look at their project and you'll see why this approach works so well for them. I double-dog-dare you to visit their campaign page and not come away amused at the least, and likely backing the game at some level at the most (that's what happened to me). It looks to be great fun, with really engaging artwork. Also highly recommended (by me, again). https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/certifiablegames/endangered-orphans-of-condyle-cove

One Week to go! - Even more stretch goals revealed!
over 7 years ago – Fri, Sep 23, 2016 at 10:13:06 AM

There’s only one week left in the KS campaign, and we’re gearing up to get to all the announced stretch goals…and a few more that we’ve just revealed!

Please help us get to these great new goals by posting info about this Kickstarter everywhere you can…it makes a huge difference! Here’s a tweetable chunk of text you can copy and paste to make it super easy to help:

One Night Ultimate Alien is on kickstarter now - back it and receive all sorts of great rewards for this game! http://tiny.cc/ONUA

If every backer helps out by posting/tweeting this, we’ll get to those stretch goals in no time at all!

New stretch goals

Enjoy the Burt Bacharach-inspired music (he happens to be the composer of the theme to the 50’s movie version of The Blob) while you take your night actions.

What are players feeling? What are they thinking? The app will ask questions, and the Empath watches to see how certain players respond. She can use this information any way she wants to, but since she’s on the village team, the Aliens had better watch out!

Run Alien directly on your AppleTV, with a huge screen (or whatever TV/monitor you have it hooked up to), using your AppleTV remote.

Check out Lore from Corey Fields

Corey Fields is super-talented artist and game designer who has done a ton of great werewolf projects in the past, and delivers them on time with awesome quality. This new unique game he's just posted on Kickstarter locks really promising, and I’ve already backed it for a copy.

Wow - $200K: More stretch goals unveiled!
over 7 years ago – Sun, Sep 18, 2016 at 06:46:49 PM

The One Night Ultimate Alien kickstarter campaign has been firing on all cylinders thanks to the generous backing of so many great supporters! More stretch goals have been unlocked, and now we’re ready to reveal even more.

With 14 days to go, we’d love to see all of these (and more) reached, but we’ll need your help to do this. You’ll notice that we’ve kept the number of updates to a minimum, as feedback from our previous campaigns (and other KS Campaigns) indicates that a constant stream of updates can be annoying to backers…and we really don’t want to annoy you. However, that comes at a cost, as the Powers That Be at Kickstarter seem to consider flooding backers with updates part of the criteria which allows them to give a project their “Projects We Love” tag, making it more visible to the rest of the Kickstarter community. To offset this, we’re asking that you take a few minutes and share this Kickstarter with your friends by posting it on social media. To make it super easy to do so, we’ve provided a tweet-size blurb for you to copy and paste below:

I’ve backed the One Night Ultimate Alien Kickstarter…it’s a great game with some amazing rewards…you can back it at http://tiny.cc/ONUA

Thank you for all of your support, and now on to the new stretch goals:

The Rascal moves cards around, in all sorts of ways. These new Rascal actions are available only to KS backers!

The Leader knows who the all of Aliens are, but the Aliens win if all of them point to him at the vote, even if one of them is killed! To make things even more interesting, if Zerb and Groob are players in the game, the Leader has a different winning condition: keep both Zerb and Groob (the Leader will know who each of them are) alive at the end of the game—it doesn’t matter if an Alien dies or not!

Who the Body Snatcher can steal from is determined by the app. These new actions are only available to KS backers!

There are even more stretch goals just over the horizon, including more app background music, more device support for the app, and more roles, including a new village-based role who knows what other players are thinking!

Casual Game Insider add-on

Casual Game Insider, the magazine that covers games just like the One Night series, has made a special offer available to all One Night Ultimate Alien reward level backers: You can get a digital subscription to this great magazine for only $10! Read about the latest games, including reviews and behind-the-scenes articles on them for the next year at a discounted price. Available for $10 as an add-on to any reward level of $25 or more (just add $10 to your pledge amount). You can learn more about the magazine here: http://casualgamerevolution.com/magazine

Thank You! & 3 Achieved Stretch Goals!
over 7 years ago – Mon, Sep 12, 2016 at 09:24:47 AM

Wow! Thanks to all of you, One Night Ultimate Alien not only funded, but it’s gotten to $100,000 quicker (by far) than any other Bezier Games project! As a result, three stretch goals have already been unlocked: 3 new roles and KS-only alien actions!

Zerb and Groob add a lot of great depth to the standard “bad guys” because if they are both in the game, their objective for winning changes from “keep all Aliens alive” to “kill my nemesis”. Sometimes Zerb will come out and simply say “I’m Zerb, that’s Groob, let’s kill her,” and while that might work, more times than not the other players suddenly realize that they are absolutely sure who Zerb is, and turn around and kill her instead! Of course, once you throw the Synthetic Alien into the mix, the deduction necessary to figure out everything takes a sudden turn…

The KS only actions, like those for the achieved stretch goal above will be revealed after the KS closes, only to verified backers at that time...and they will add to the variability of the roles in all sorts of interesting ways!

The Oracle is on the Villager team, and she has tapped into the consciousness of the app, allowing her to interact with it during the night phase. The app will ask the Oracle a question, and the Oracle will respond…on the device itself! Then the app will respond further as a result. For instance, the app might ask the Oracle if she wants to be on the Alien team. If the Oracle selects “yes” on the device running the app, the app then tells everyone what her decision was….but sometimes the end result is not what you’d expect, as the app has a bit of a personality!

In addition, there's one upcoming, still locked stretch goal that we are really close to:

New Stretch Goals Revealed!

A few more stretch goals have been revealed:

Please keep spreading the word! There are a ton of great new stretch goals planned for this campaign, but to reach them all we’ll need your help. The best way you can help is by posting a note about this campaign to your social media accounts, so that other people can be made aware of it….the more people who back, the more stretch goals everyone gets.

Thank you again for your support on this project, and we can’t wait to get this amazing game into your hands!
